I am an interdisciplinary researcher and educator at the Department of Architecture, National University of Singapore (NUS). My research explores the intersections of urban studies and psychology, with a particular focus on urban atmospheres and experiences of solitude. My research seeks to contribute to broader discussions of inclusivity, emotional experiences in public spaces, and urban psychological wellbeing, particularly in the context of growing singlehood, single-person households, and solo economies. My broader research interests include phenomenology, affect and sensory studies, critical urban theory, and wellbeing. I am a member of the International Ambiances Network and a student researcher at the Centre for Environment and Ageing Well (ENgAGE).

Prior to my current research, I taught Interdisciplinary Design Innovation focused on Critical Design Futures (CDT) thinking at the Singapore Institute of Technology and social sciences at the American University of Yangon. My professional experience spans over a decade across architecture, design, media, and publishing in Singapore and the wider region. Recent works include Making Space: 40 Years of People, Practice, Possibility (2025), a monograph celebrating the work of JGP Architecture; Bean There, Sustain That (2024), an installation exploring the circular economy of coffee, presented as part of Re-Route: Orchard at Singapore Design Week; and The Best of Myanmar: Golden Land of Hidden Gems (2018), a visual and cultural showcase of Myanmar.
